If you have public facilities that are used by the public, rented by the public, or where public activities are held, it is a best practice to consider whether a liability waiver or claim release is necessary.
This presentation (hosted by Colorado Special Districts Property and Liability Pool) provides tools to identify legal issues and will give you practical tips on what types of waivers may work best for your District’s facilities. The handout for this presentation was produced by the CSD Pool and includes template language and check-lists.
This webinar will teach you all about:
- How waivers are viewed in Colorado
- The elements of a valid liability waiver or claims release
- Identifying issues before you draft
- Checklists for specific situations such as underage users, facility rentals, volunteers and team use of facilities
